The event took place at the Cluster for Social and Economic Innovation in Krakow and brought together representatives of public institutions, academia, civil society organisations and other local and regional stakeholders engaged in building a stronger ecosystem for inclusive entrepreneurship. The meeting marked not only a symbolic moment, but also a practical step toward ensuring that cooperation developed within TASK4ISI will continue beyond the lifetime of the project.
The event was opened by representatives of the Municipality of Krakow and the Krakow University of Economics, underlining the importance of cooperation between local government and academia in shaping long-term development pathways. The programme also included several expert contributions focused on the future of inclusive entrepreneurship and the value of cross-sectoral collaboration.
A presentation on inclusive entrepreneurship as a tool of modern public policy highlighted the experience gained within the TASK4ISI project and showed how entrepreneurship can become more accessible to groups that are often underrepresented in economic life. An expert lecture on cross-sectoral cooperation emphasized that effective development action depends on building strong links between institutions, communities and knowledge partners. The significance of the Memorandum itself was also discussed, especially in the context of strengthening the ISIHUB network and creating lasting foundations for continued collaboration.
The signing of the Memorandum represents an important step in extending cooperation beyond the framework of TASK4ISI, funded by the Interreg Central Europe programme. The project focuses on supporting inclusive entrepreneurship and social innovation, especially among groups whose economic potential is still insufficiently recognised or supported, including young people, women, migrants, seniors and persons with disabilities.
In this context, the Memorandum confirms the shared intention to continue developing the ISIHUB network as a platform for cooperation, knowledge exchange, joint initiatives and future project development. Its purpose is not only to maintain existing relationships, but also to create new opportunities for joint action at local, regional and transnational level.
The broad and diverse group of signatories reflects the strength of the network that has been built around the project. It also demonstrates that inclusive entrepreneurship is not the responsibility of one sector alone. It requires cooperation between cities, universities, labour market institutions, social organisations and community actors who are ready to work together toward a more open and accessible entrepreneurial environment.
Importantly, the Memorandum is expected to eventually include at least 108 signatories from several countries, showing the broader European ambition behind this initiative. In that sense, the Krakow event was both locally grounded and internationally relevant: it connected regional actors while contributing to the development of a wider transnational network committed to sustainable cooperation.
The signing of the Memorandum was therefore both a celebration of what has already been achieved and a forward-looking commitment to what comes next. It created a real foundation for long-term collaboration and sent a clear message that the values promoted within TASK4ISI — inclusion, partnership, knowledge exchange and social innovation — should continue to shape future actions.
By bringing together institutions and organisations around a shared commitment, the event in Krakow demonstrated that inclusive entrepreneurship can become more than a project theme. It can become a lasting framework for cooperation, learning and action.
Together, the signatories are helping to build a stronger ecosystem for inclusive entrepreneurship in Małopolska and beyond.
