From project insights to national implementation
The event opened with a presentation of FI4INN’s key outputs, tools, and methodologies, including data-driven analyses and practical instruments designed to improve innovation finance ecosystems.
A central element introduced was the Virtual Knowledge Centre, a curated platform showcasing innovative financial tools, methodologies, and best practices from across Europe. The platform aims to strengthen institutional capacity and improve the quality and consistency of startup support at both national and regional levels.
Evaluating and improving the Technology Incubation programme
A major focus of the event was the evaluation of the Technology Incubation 1.0 programme and the preparation of its successor, Technology Incubation 2.0.
The analysis—based on data, stakeholder consultations, surveys, and ecosystem feedback—resulted in more than 130 improvement proposals, addressing:
- simplification and acceleration of processes
- expansion of eligible costs
- stronger data management and automation
- deeper collaboration with innovation infrastructures
- increased involvement of experts and ecosystem actors
A strong emphasis was also placed on pre-incubation and scouting activities, as well as the need to better support deep-tech projects through targeted expertise and validation mechanisms.

Towards a more coordinated innovation support system
The event included an interactive co-design session on Technology Incubation 2.0, highlighting the importance of building a coherent, long-term and coordinated system of innovation support.
Discussions with representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, regional innovation infrastructures, and ecosystem actors focused on:
- improving cooperation between national and regional levels
- strengthening the sustainability of innovation infrastructures
- aligning support tools with the real needs of startups and SMEs
Participants showed strong interest in creating a more integrated and strategic framework for innovation support in the Czech Republic.
Connecting stakeholders and shaping future policies
The afternoon workshop further reinforced collaboration through the Platform for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Infrastructures, providing a space to exchange perspectives on future priorities and funding opportunities.

The discussions highlighted the need for:
- continuous coordination between stakeholders
- stronger alignment of support instruments
- clearer long-term vision for innovation policy beyond 2026
From recommendations to action
The event concluded with a clear forward-looking message: the next step is to translate FI4INN findings into concrete policy actions.
With over 130 recommendations identified, efforts will focus on prioritising and implementing key measures, including process simplification, improved data use, and enhanced cooperation across the innovation ecosystem.
