Monitoring Circular Procurement Impacts in Construction in Slovenia

Online
Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia
Date: 28.05.2026
The Chamber of Construction and Building Materials Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) and the Chamber of Real Estate Business (ZPN), within the CE-PRINCE project (Interreg Central Europe), invite you to the final training in the WP2 series dedicated to public procurers: “Monitoring Circular Procurement Impacts: Indicators for Low-Carbon Buildings”.

The event will take place online on 28 May 2026 and represents the concluding session of the capacity-building programme aimed at strengthening the role of public authorities in implementing circular and green public procurement in the construction sector.

This final training focuses on one of the most critical aspects of sustainable procurement: how to measure, monitor and evaluate the real impacts of circular criteria applied in public tenders. As public procurement increasingly serves as a strategic tool for achieving climate and circular economy goals, the ability to track performance and demonstrate results becomes essential.

Participants will gain practical knowledge on:

  • defining and applying indicators for low-carbon and circular construction projects,
  • monitoring environmental and economic performance over the building lifecycle,
  • linking procurement requirements with measurable outcomes,
  • using data to support decision-making and policy evaluation,
  • improving transparency and accountability in public investments.

The training builds on the previous sessions in the WP2 series, moving from the introduction of circular criteria and legal frameworks towards a more advanced, results-oriented approach focused on evaluation and impact measurement.

The online format enables broader participation while maintaining a focused and interactive learning environment. As with previous events, the number of participants is limited to ensure quality discussion and exchange.

The training is delivered in cooperation with legal and technical experts from Potočnik and Partners Law Firm, who will provide guidance on aligning monitoring practices with regulatory requirements and procurement procedures.

As the final WP2 event, this session also provides an opportunity to reflect on key lessons learned throughout the training series and to strengthen the capacity of public procurers to implement circular procurement in a consistent, measurable and strategic way.

Participation is free of charge.
