On 20 March 2026, a workshop was held at the Fruit Growing Centre Bilje (Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry Nova Gorica), bringing together representatives of public authorities at national and regional levels, alongside experts from forestry, nature conservation, spatial planning, and climate change adaptation. The RE-ENFORCE project and its objectives were presented during the event.
The programme included both a workshop session and a field visit to post-fire reforestation sites, where practical restoration approaches, reforestation techniques, and challenges in restoring degraded forests were presented. Participants discussed forest restoration following large-scale disturbances such as wildfires, windthrow, and pest outbreaks, and exchanged experiences on good practices and the application of nature-based solutions.
