During the past period, the DiSTT project has been actively presented through a series of public events across Croatia and the wider region, creating opportunities for diverse audiences to directly engage with the project and its activities.

Through participation in maker fairs, science festivals, and community events, Fablab Zagreb organized and delivered activities that enabled visitors to explore digital fabrication tools, learn about the goals of the DiSTT project, and understand how these approaches can support less privileged groups.

One of the key events was the 2nd Maker Expo Zagreb (former Zagreb Maker Faire), which took place on September 26th, 2025 in Zagreb, Croatia. Organized by PP6, the event provided hands-on opportunities for visitors to interact with digital fabrication technologies. The DiSTT project was presented through demonstrations and direct communication with participants, allowing them to better understand the project’s mission and upcoming activities. Notably, Public Open University Zagreb expressed interest in implementing DiSTT programs in the future.

Further outreach took place at the 14th Science Picnic, which took place on October 3-4th, 2025 in Gornja Stubica, Croatia. With more than 100 exhibitors and several thousand visitors, this event offered an excellent platform to introduce DiSTT to a broad audience, particularly in a rural and remote setting. Visitors had the chance to engage with project representatives and learn how digital fabrication can be made more accessible and inclusive.

The project was also presented internationally at the Mostar Maker Faire, which was organized on October 4th, 2025 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This event enabled interaction with the regional maker community and further expanded awareness of DiSTT beyond national borders.

Additional activities took place during the 13th Faust Vrančić Creative Days, which happened on October 10-11th, 2025 in Prvić Luka, Croatia, a remote island location. Here, visitors were introduced to the project through interactive engagement, highlighting the importance of making digital skills and tools available even in geographically isolated areas.

DiSTT was also presented at STEAM Fest Petrinja on October 12th, 2025, where participants from rural communities had the opportunity to learn about the project and explore how digital fabrication can support education and skill development.

On September 20th, 2025, the DiSTT project was promoted in Novska and Garesnica, reaching local communities and giving visitors the opportunity to explore digital fabrication and learn more about the project’s inclusive approach. These activities allowed participants to engage directly with the team and discover how DiSTT brings technology and hands-on learning closer to less privileged audiences.

Across all these events, the focus was on direct interaction with audiences-presenting the project, demonstrating tools and methods, and encouraging dialogue with participants. These activities not only increased the visibility of DiSTT but also helped build connections with communities and stakeholders interested in inclusive digital education.

By bringing the project into real-world environments and engaging with people face-to-face, Fablab Zagreb continues to promote DiSTTs  accessibility, inclusion, and innovation in digital fabrication. FabLab Zagreb places a strong focus on less privileged groups, aiming to create social impact through personal empowerment and the development of creative confidence, rather than focusing solely on technical skills. This includes individuals facing various barriers – whether related to disabilities, economic challenges, or geographical limitations such as living in rural and remote areas, ensuring that digital fabrication becomes accessible to everyone.
