We are pleased to announce that the pilot phase of the REDU-CE-D project has officially started!
On 21 October 2025, the consortium gathered in Krakow (Poland) for the 4th Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), hosted by Municipality of Krakow (Krakow Transport Authority), to define together the final operational steps paving the way for the pilot implementation across Central Europe.
This meeting marked a significant milestone in the project’s journey, as partners officially kicked off the testing of the customized Environmental Management System (EMS) support packages developed in previous phases. The pilot action aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact in four key transport sectors:
- Air transport, led by Dubrovnik Airport and Budapest Airport
- Waterway transport, coordinated by Freeport of Budapest and Port of Ploče,
- Rail transport, implemented by ADRIAFER and ECCO-Rail,
- Urban transport, organized by Municipality of Krakow (Krakow Transport Authority) and BKK Centre for Budapest Transport.
Throughout the day, partners shared progress updates and aligned strategies on monitoring, evaluation, and communication, ensuring a coordinated approach to pilot execution. The discussions also focused on the upcoming pilot testing visits, the joint evaluation process, and the activities to enhance stakeholder engagement at transnational and local levels.
The upcoming months will be dedicated to testing the EMS packages in real operational environments, gathering data and feedback that will be crucial for validation and future transferability.
