Project partner ALDA+, represented by Rita Martino, contributed to the symposium through a poster presentation titled:
“A Transnational NbS Network of Cities and Followers – the GreenScape CE Experience.”
The presentation highlighted the project’s innovative, multi-dimensional approach to advancing Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and Green Infrastructure (GI) across five Central European pilot cities: Milan, Ptuj, Szeged, Warsaw, and Zagreb.
Key Elements Presented:
• Pilot activities implementing NbS and GI to improve local climate resilience
• Citizen engagement tools and a practical DIY guide encouraging residents to participate in greening their neighbourhoods
• Technical, financial, and policy tools, including a replication package to support transferability across new urban contexts
• The GreenScape CE Visual Mapping Platform (GVMP) – an interactive digital tool designed to support strategic green infrastructure planning
The symposium offered an excellent opportunity to share results, inspire replication, and strengthen networks with stakeholders from across Europe. The exchange of experiences and feedback reinforced the project’s relevance in contributing to urban sustainability and adaptation strategies.
A sincere thank you to the event organisers and participating peers for the inspiring discussions and collaboration opportunities.
