The largest international EV conference, EVS38 in Gothenburg brought together global leaders in field of mobility for future. For V4Grid, it was a chance to explore how vehicle-to-grid technologies fit into a broader landscape and to see which innovations are ready to scale.
We saw that more V2G chargers are finally entering the market. For instance, Tritium presented its vision of a complete infrastructure with up to 64 charging points in one system. At the same time, many manufacturers are still cautious, waiting for broader market adoption and struggling with diverse technical requirements. The debate between AC and DC charging continues, with companies like Zaptec focusing on AC, while ABB pushes DC solutions. Scandinavian brands such as Volvo Group and Polestar are already integrating V2G and energy management into their strategies, scaling these solutions and pointing the way forward.
EVS38 made it clear: to unlock the full potential of EVs as energy assets, aligned policies, robust infrastructure, and strong cross-industry collaboration are essential. For V4Grid, these insights confirm both the momentum of V2G and the importance of our work in testing, learning, and shaping the path toward large-scale adoption.
