In Person
Location: Telč, Czech Republic
Date: 27.05.2025 - 28.05.2025
By: JETforCE

On 27–28 May 2025, the JETforCE consortium will gather in Telč, Czech Republic for its 6th Project Meeting, hosted by local partner EAV. This important gathering will serve as both a strategic and practical checkpoint as the project moves into its final phase, with a strong focus on shaping regional action plans that support a fair and inclusive energy transition.

The two-day meeting will take place at Hotel ANTOŇ, starting with a warm welcome from Ondřej Němec (EAV) and a project update by Francesca Martemucci (Resolvo). A key highlight of Day 1 will be a deep dive into the project’s strategy and how it connects to real-world actions in each partner region.

Strategy and Local Action Plans – Turning Vision into Action
Led by Giulia Maselli (MCBO) and Francesco Silvestri (UNIMORE), the morning session will begin with a presentation of the draft JETforCE strategy. This will be followed by a 90-minute participatory workshop using the World Café method — a lively and interactive format designed to gather diverse ideas from all participants.

Participants will rotate between four themed discussion tables, each guided by project partners and focusing on essential topics:

  • Future Actions and Improving Local Policies (facilitated by IAAI & EIfI-Tech): identifying practical steps regions can take over the next 1–2 years.

  • Roles and Responsibilities (facilitated by Resolvo): defining who needs to be involved — from local authorities to universities and businesses.

  • Business Models and Funding (facilitated by Yunus Foundation): exploring how to make the plans financially sustainable and attract investment.

  • Turning Strategy into Action (facilitated by UNIMORE): ensuring the ideas connect with the overall project goals and lead to concrete, coordinated action.

Each group will build on the ideas of previous participants, with facilitators capturing key insights. The session will end with a summary of outcomes and a joint discussion to agree on priorities for the local action plans.

Site Visit: Smart Metering in Practice
In the afternoon, partners will take part in a study visit to Jihlava, where they will see a smart metering system in action at a local kindergarten — a real-life example of how digital tools can help achieve energy efficiency and support community-focused goals. The day will conclude with a return to Telč and a joint dinner.

Looking Ahead: What Comes Next for JETforCE
Day 2 will focus on taking stock of progress so far and planning for the project’s final months. Sessions will cover lessons learned from pilot activities, practical tools developed for the project, and next steps in communication and coordination. The final meeting of the project’s steering group will wrap up with financial, administrative, and strategic updates.

As the JETforCE project moves closer to its final results, the meeting in Telč promises to be a turning point in turning strategy into lasting impact — helping regions across Europe design and implement policies that ensure a fair and inclusive energy transition for all.
