Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP) is a state-owned institution whose main activities include implementing scientific research in the energy sector and providing professional support and advisory services to public authorities and stakeholders in Croatia and internationally. Although state-owned, EIHP is not financed from the state budget but on the basis of concluded contracts for project implementation.

Participation of EIHP in the SuPeRBE project adds to the existing portfolio of EU-funded projects that EIHP has been working on, especially projects related to climate change adaptation. Our motivation for participating in SuPeRBE is as follows:
- Exchange of knowledge and upgrade of our existing methodologies for calculating climate risk and vulnerability related to hazards caused by climate change
- Contribution to the development of the Digital ToolKit for supporting public authorities in developing climate adaptation measures
- Improvement of capacity building in the pilot area (Municipality of Šibenik) in the whole cycle of adaptation measures development, from the diagnosis of the current state up to the evaluation of results achieved
- As communication managers of the SuPeRBE project, EIHP will work on regular communication and dissemination of news and materials through the SuPeRBE website and LinkedIn profile. The aim of communication is to reach as wide a professional public as possible, including urban planners, architects, climate planners, municipal, regional, and national authorities, and other relevant stakeholders from all over the world.
