Our future beyond 2027
Discover how we are preparing for the next funding period.
The year 2024 is an important year, not only for implementing our programme but also for shaping its future. As conversations around European funding post-2027 start to unfold, the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE is firmly committed to advancing regional development and cooperation. Our programme plays a crucial role in addressing the changing needs and challenges of central Europe, driving innovation, sustainability and economic growth across the region.
Now is our opportunity to lay the groundwork for the future. On this page, you can find more information about the steps we are taking.
Our strategic steps
Stakeholder engagement
Since the beginning of 2024, we are actively engaging with stakeholders across the region to gather insights and build a collaborative approach to future Interreg funding.
In June, we concluded a joint survey conducted with other transnational programmes. With over 700 responses, we gathered valuable ideas and input for the future of Interreg beyond 2027.
Shaping the policy
We are currently analysing the collected data and preparing a comprehensive harvesting report.
This report will directly inform the position of policy makers who are responsible for coming up with concrete policy proposals next year.
By providing detailed insights our analysis aims to ensure that the resulting policies are well-informed and effectively address the key issues at hand.
Our next calls
In the meantime, we are preparing our next calls for proposals in which we want to promote innovative projects that strategically address emerging challenges and capitalise on new opportunities in central Europe.
As we face increasingly complex challenges, cooperation is central to ensure that our collective efforts lead to meaningful and lasting change.
