Successful Online Closing Ceremony
In a previous article we made an interview with Szombathely about their plans for the online closing ceremony. The original plan - before the pandemic outbreak - was all about shining faces, many participants, wandering on the streets and playing games while summarizing the project as well. Instead of cancelling everything, Szombathely decided to make everything possible in the virtual world, and needless to say, it was very professional and well made.
In the morning, the partners held a final meeting on technical and administrative matters and looked back at their cooperation together. Then, in the afternoon, an international conference was held - where anyone could join through the Demio platform. There were videos, speeches and a couple of online forms, such as who and where he heard about the project. It was fast-paced and informative. All of the videos are available on a playlist, in the correct order as well at the NewPilgrimAge youtube channel.
Instead of the tour, the partners from Szombathely made a very nice video as well, almost giving back the feeling of walking around the place in real. Click on the photo to watch.
Also, because the game in the city could not happen as originally planned, they made an online version available for anyone. Click here to play.
The official online event was on Thursday, May 28 in English. Because of that, there was a similar event on Friday in Hungarian as well, which targeted the local group and contained a summary of the project and the results. The focus was on the conversation part. This type of professional event for the local stakeholder members about the results of the project eventually was held in Italy as well a few days after the main event - also online.
