If you are attending 16th edition of European Week of Regions and Cities, the key event for all interested in the future of EU Cohesion Policy, you should not miss our Interreg highlights:
Our EU Regions Week sessions
- 9 October, 10.30 - 11.00: Why central Europe needs cooperation more than ever - *livestreamed in our social media - our talk on importance of transnational cooperation in the programme area, followed by networking session with partners from our projects
- 10 October, 16.30 - 18.00: Idea lab on the future of transnational Interreg cooperation: World-Café-styled discussions to generate ideas for how transnational cooperation can be further developed to benefit European cohesion, improving the lives of European citizens
Together with the other Interreg transnational programmes in Europe, the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme will be part of a joint exhibition #MadeWithInterreg, featuring outstanding Interreg projects and showcasing how transnational cooperation strengthens EU cohesion by providing tangible benefits on the ground. People from ongoing projects will be there to tell you all about how they are making a difference for the regions and cities where they operate.
Meet our projects
On Tuesday, 9 October 13.30 – 16.00, Catharina Druckenbrod and Sarah Duryea of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE project ECRR will be at the stand to share their experiences on how to connect cultural heritage around central Europe. ECRR project focuses on Reformation-themed heritage. They are establishing a European Reformation Route through active engagement of local and regional stakeholders. At the stand you can dive into virtual reality with them to recognise the true value of cultural heritage linked to reformation.
The attractive and interactive design of our joint exhibition stand will additionally feature our FabLabNet project fostering transnational networks and links both with schools and businesses. You can steer into future with a steering wheel prototype realised by students in their FabLab mentoring programme in Brno or meet the speaker, Marco Fellin, representing the lead partner of the project in Q and A session between 17.00 - 18.00 in Agora Talks on Tuesday, 9 October.
Two more Interreg CE projects SURFACE helping regions on their transition towards circular economy and re-use as well as GreenerSites on environmental rehabilitation of brownfield sites in central Europe will be featured in short videos.
