The EU Regions Week 2019 once again provided a unique opportunity to better understand how regions and cities are using EU funds to improve citizens' lives. This year's event brought together over 9,000 participants who took part in nearly 400 sessions, debates, exhibitions and networking opportunities about the different aspects of cohesion policy.
We were there too because we believe that #cooperationiscentral for stronger and better Europe.

On Wednesday, we hosted a participatory session in which we invited practitioners and policy makers to share their views and ideas on future orientation of our programme.
"What would be missing without Interreg? There would be less Europe. Interreg brings people together. I support future Interreg cooperation in central Europe, so does the European Parliament."
In the joint transnational Interreg idea lab workshop on Thursday, we had a look at the impact of Interreg and specifically at the role of transnational cooperation in taking our regions forward in following three topics: entrepreneurship, energy efficiency and risk management. We also gave floor to Interreg projects presented in the summer edition of Panorama Magazine.
In addition, we welcomed visitors at our #MadewithInterreg stand, where we took them on a journey into European transnational cooperation.
Throughout the week, we have joined various sessions as guest speakers and experts.
In the session organised by DG Research and Innovation, we have presented our pilot call for a common exploitation of results with Horizon2020 and other directly managed programmes.
In the Master Class on EU Cohesion Policy, we have presented a paper on regional response to policy gaps in central Europe zooming in on social entrepreneurship and social innovation for labour market integration.
Our #cooperationicentral People-Stories-Central Europe storymap won the #EUinmyRegion storytelling competition in the expert category! You can discover our cooperation stories in the heart of Europe on the #EUinmyRegion website. During the EURegionsWeek we have collected our award and joined the professional high-level training course.
Our projects also took an opportunity to present results of their cooperation at the EU Regions Week.
