URBAN INNO experience in action at upcoming OLL 2017
OpenLivingLab Days is the annual 4-day summit of the worldwide Living Lab community (previously called ENoLL Summer School), and includes interactive sessions, workshops, discussion panels, and off-site visits with the aim of giving the participants a wider insight about models, theories and technologies related to Living Labs. Participants have the opportunity to gain experience from the leading experts and to network with other Living Lab enthusiasts.
This year the event will take place in Krakow, Poland, from 29th August to 1st September 2017. The last two days of summit are dedicated to numerous thematic workshop sessions, including those in the field of Smart Cities. URBAN INNO team, composed of representatives from 3 partners: Informatica Trentina (IT), E-Zavod (SLO) and Kielce Technology Park (PL), will host the workshop on subject ‘Utilizing innovation potential of urban ecosystems through citizen engagement’, on the August 31st.
With the support of 3 experiences coming from URBAN INNO project – Trento, Maribor and Kielce, this workshop will explore the importance of involving and empowering citizens, local communities and local creative industries/designers in material research, bridging the gap between government, industry and citizens/local entrepreneurs, as an important step towards a sustainable and eco-friendly economy and society. Inspired by 3 presented cases and other known best practices, participants in this workshop will learn and discuss about the best co-creation and participatory methods and the best required adaptations for Smart Cities and medium sized urban ecosystems out from the URBAN INNO participatory toolbox.
In the following days the official agenda will be updated with the workshop information and also a webinar will be organized to further explain the structure of the workshops to attendees. For more information about the event check out the official OpenLivingLab Days website.
