4th Partner meeting
5-6 February 2019, Brno, Czech Republic
At the fourth partner meeting, the question arose "How can smart intermodal tools make interchanging at subnodes more seamless and attract more passengers?"
KORDIS as host succeeded in winning regional experts for this topic. Mr. Hermann of Ing. IVO HERMAN informed about technical solutions for dispatching centres and passenger electronic information panels. And our project partner UMWW reported on the current status of the concept for an IT based passenger information and governmental planning tool in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship.
The afternoon of the first day saw a lively discussion about if we aren´t already bored by „SMART“ solutions and if smart solutions really help to attract new passengers.
On the second day, the partners looked at the PT node Žilochovice currently under construction. The town, about 20 km south of Brno, will be connected to the TEN-T network with a new 5 km railway.
