GreenerSites presented in Milan during Urbanpromo, the main national event on Urban Regeneration

GreenerSites outcomes were presented within the Urbanpromo event held in Milan last 23 November in the framework of Milano Triennale.  The Urbanpromo initiative is an important annual event structured in three different meetings taking place in Venice, Turin and Milan, respectively focusing on sustainable urban planning (Urbanpromo Green), social housing (Urbanpromo Social Housing) and Urbanpromo “Progetti per il paese”.


Last 21 September Urbanpromo Green in Venice hosted a specific session dedicated to GreenerSites, and Urbanpromo event in Milan became a further occasion to present the project to a wider audience in a National context within another specific session  on the relation between harbours, cities and territories in the new dimension of port planning. 
Experts, urban planners and port system authorities’ administrators debated on the effects of the recent law reform on port planning as well as on the new relations to be established between port and territory after the creation of port systems: they focused both on the current plans and on the new findings/opportunities to bring together and coordinate the different territorial planning tools.
Among the several projects described by the participants national Port Authorities, the activities carried on in Porto Marghera by the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Ports of Venice and Chioggia in the frame of GreenerSites were introduced to a wide audience (about 70 people including experts in the port sector, city-planners, university students).
