6th Polish Geothermal Congress

The Congress gathered over 180 participants. All leading scientific, research, geological, geophysical, drilling and other geothermal entities, including the representatives of all operational, geothermal heat plants and majority of recreational centers from all over the country were present. The Congress was also honored by the presence of the representatives of ministries (Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Energy), governmental and self-governmental administration.
The Congress was also attended by experts, from the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute and AGH University of Science and Technology, who prepared a number of articles, scientific papers, presentations and posters. During the scientific sessions members of the GeoPLASMA-CE team presented a lecture entitled “Identification of conflicts and environmental sensitivities related to the use of shallow geothermal heat on the example of Kraków and Wałbrzych agglomeration: the GeoPLASMA-CE international project by M. Hajto, W. Kozdrój, U. Wyrwalska and a poster “Methodology for developing a 3D geological model for evaluation of shallow geothermal energy potential maps for the Wałbrzych region - activities of the GeoPLASMA-CE project” by U. Wyrwalska and M. Ziółkowska-Kozdrój (PGI-NRI).
