Project name SAFE_4E- Sustainable safety and energy efficiency improvement for Central Europe through quadruple cooperation

Priority Innovation and knowledge development
Aim The project aims to develop a new approach to improve energy efficiency as well as load bearing structure performance in existing buildings. This new approach combines both improvements in a single step, providing a sustainable renovation through its properties. The goal of the project is bottom-up implementation of Smart Specialization Strategy in a way of finding the best solutions to extend the life span of buildings through integrated improvement of vital requirements, taking into account environmental impacts.
Results Cooperation between science institutes, cities and local authorities, SME’s and civil society will result in a new knowledge base on how to extend lifespan of existing buildings, energy savings, new jobs, cost reduction and improved security thus raising competitiveness level of central Europe.
Objectives:
Conduct of research and exchange of knowledge and experience between science institutions and entrepreneurs to define the strategy, details and methods for implementation of new solutions.
Plans and learning tools for cities and local authorities to promote the implementation and improvement of energy efficiency and structural safety of existing buildings.
To achieve the objectives, project partners will develop:
- Professional manuals regarding the project, different for each participant in the process
- Plans and programs for education of experts through professional development
