Project name Development of effective strategies for prosumers empowerment - ESPE
Objective Objective 2.2
Priority Low carbon cities and regions
Aim System, where the end user / the consumer is supposed to contribute to a certain extent (e.g. via demand response or in micro-grid solutions with generation at individual level), involving the consumer in the design, the implementation and operation of technical solutions is crucial. Assuming that the goal is to design an energy system as sustainable and with a penetration with renewable energy as high as possible, active participation of consumers is crucial for the success, because technical solutions alone will not work and will not lead to the desired results. Having that in mind, this project’s objective is to analyse current situation and develop several effective strategies to promote and empower consumers (residential/commercial/public prosumer community/energy cooperative) as a valuable source of needed flexibility in the grid on the demand side. Proposed strategies will be tested and demonstrated at the pilot locations along with necessary technical infrastructure and become best practice example regarding effective strategies for active prosumer involvement.
Results Several strategies, collaboration web application and client mobile application, pilot installations, guidelines and workshops will be developed through the course of this project to achieve the before mentioned goal
