Pilot Site Visits in Bydgoszcz

Two pilot site visits will take place on May 10 and 11 to the brownfields of Bydgoszcz and Solec Kujawsky. In Bydgoszcz, the Zachem former chemical factory site is located by the rivers Vistula and Brda. The closing down of the factory in 2012 caused both serious social and environmental problems. In Solec Kujwasky the brownfield site is a former factory of railway sleepers preservation which caused the current long-term contamination of the groundwater. Within ReSites, both the City of Bydgoszcz and the Municipality of Solec Kujawsky will implement their pilot actions to facilitate the regeneration of their brownfields and enhance the improvement of the environmental conditions of the area.
